Plantar Fasciitis / Heel

Heel pain is characterized by physical discomfort or difficulty when walking. This is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the ligament that connects your heel bone to your toes. Heel pain can also be due to other causes, such as stress fracture, tendonitis, arthritis, or nerve irritation. Causes of this can be prolonged standing or walking, overuse, or poorly fitting shoes.
